The APOSTAXIS project, co‑funded by the European Union and hosted by ZMINA, invites four visual artists—three from Ukraine and one from Cyprus—to participate in a 20‑day joint residency in Ternopil (Ukraine) and Larnaca (Cyprus). The residency culminates in public presentations and a hybrid exhibition in Larnaca (January 2027) and a digital exhibition (December 2026). Applicants must be visual artists with participatory practices, with a genuine motivation to research and engage with histories of displacement. The call offers an artist fee of €1,800 (including tax) and a €300 production budget, along with local and international travel, accommodation, subsistence, and research support. The final exhibition will be curated by Lucy Nychai and will bring together the work of all four participants. Applications open 15 July and close 26 July 2026; shortlisted artists will be interviewed 29 July, with final decisions on 30 July.
