The Aesthetica Creative Writing Award is an annual international competition run by Aesthetica Magazine, celebrating innovative writing in poetry and short fiction. Entries are accepted from any theme, and works already published or entered elsewhere are welcome. The competition offers a total prize fund of £5,000, split equally between the Poetry and Short Fiction winners, along with publication in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Anthology. Winners also receive a range of additional benefits, including a 5‑day Arvon at Home Online Writing Week or Evening Course for the Fiction winner, two online masterclasses from Arvon for the Poetry winner, a one‑year print subscription to The Poetry Society (Poetry winner), a one‑year digital subscription to The Poetry Society (both winners), a one‑year deluxe subscription to The London Magazine (both winners), and various writing courses and memberships. The competition is open to all writers worldwide, with no age, nationality, or residency restrictions. Entries open from 1 December 2025 and close on 31 August 2026, with late entries accepted until 6 September 2026. Winners are announced in December 2026.
