The Ente Musicale e Culturale Filarmonica ‘G. Puccini’ is offering a 71‑day residency, the Re‑sounding Archives, in the medieval village of Suvereto, Tuscany, from 21 September to 30 November 2026. The program seeks five international musicians who reside in a Creative Europe country (excluding Italy) and who are interested in experimental music and cultural heritage. Applicants will engage in research of 19th‑century manuscripts housed in the Filarmonica’s archive and develop contemporary musical concepts and experimental sound art based on that research. Selection will be based on artistic excellence, relevance to the archival material, and collaborative potential.
Participants will receive accommodation in apartments in the historic centre, access to the Archive and the Sala Musica rehearsal hub, and mentorship from expert musicians and archivists. The residency is supported by Culture Moves Europe, providing a daily allowance of 30 EUR, a travel allowance of 400–800 EUR, a green mobility top‑up of 400 EUR, a visa top‑up of 120 EUR per resident, an outermost regions top‑up of 175 EUR per resident, a family top‑up of 200 EUR per child, and accessibility support ranging from 375 to 1 200 EUR. The application is free.
The call is open to all artists meeting the eligibility criteria, and the deadline for submission is 30 July 2026. For more information and to apply, visit the institution’s website.
