New York, United States
Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
截止日期: October 29, 2026

关于此机会

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans supports immigrants and children of immigrants pursuing graduate study in the United States — including visual artists, designers, architects, and filmmakers. Each year, 30 Fellows receive up to $90,000 in funding (up to $25,000/year stipend; up to $20,000/year tuition support) for up to two years of full-time study at any accredited institution in the US. The Fellowship community spans every creative discipline — painting, printmaking, sculpture, architecture, design, film, and beyond — alongside scientists, lawyers, physicians, and public policy leaders. Fellows join a lifelong community of nearly 900 New Americans with family origins in over 100 countries. “In the architecture field or as an artist, legitimacy can feel scarce and difficult to come by. The Paul & Daisy Soros [Fellowships] provides that,” says Jonathan Herrera Soto, 2023 Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow, MFA in painting & printmaking, Yale School of Art. “Being in proximity and in conversation with other immigrants and children of immigrants has been very nourishing.” Selection is merit-based and holistic, emphasizing creativity, originality, initiative, and sustained accomplishment. Eligible applicants include naturalized citizens, green card holders, asylees and refugees, US-born children of two immigrant parents, and those born abroad who graduated from both high school and college in the United States. Applicants must be 30 or younger and planning to enroll full-time in a graduate program in the 2027–2028 academic year. Watch the information session for arts applicants here. Applications are due October 29, 2026 at 2:00pm ET. Interested applicants can learn more and apply at pdsoros.org. Follow the fellowship on Instagram at @pdsoros.
