公开招募——“Illuminate Together”项目首席艺术家

Banchory, United Kingdom
截止日期: July 20, 2026

关于此机会

The Barn Arts, a community arts organisation in Aberdeenshire, is inviting applications for a Lead Artist to design and run the Illuminate Together project – a community lantern-making initiative that will culminate in a shared celebration at the Banchory Bonfire & Fireworks Night in early November 2026. The role involves creating a welcoming, inclusive experience for participants of all ages, developing a lantern-making concept, and delivering 10–12 workshops between September and October 2026 with local schools, community groups and the public. The successful artist will also facilitate a drop‑in lantern activity at the Barn’s Plenty Festival on 4 October 2026, support final preparations in October, and contribute to a short evaluation report. Applicants should be visual artists or makers with experience in community engagement, lantern or craft work, creative facilitation, and collaboration with schools and community groups. Preference is given to artists based in Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City or the wider North East of Scotland, though those from elsewhere may apply. The fee will be agreed based on the Scottish Artists Union Recommended Rates of Pay, covering approximately seven days of work, and reasonable travel, materials and project expenses will be reimbursed separately. Applications are due by 20 July 2026, 5 pm, and should include a brief introduction, an outline of the proposed approach, and examples of relevant work. The Barn Arts welcomes applications in alternative formats and is committed to an accessible recruitment process.
