Cirkus Kolektiv is launching an open call for authors, artists, and contemporary circus collectives developing new artistic projects and performances during a residency of up to two weeks between January and October 2027 in Split, Croatia. The Artist in Residence programme is designed for artists seeking space, time, and support to develop their ideas. It offers a residency stay in Split, where participants can research, experiment, further develop existing projects, or initiate new creative processes. In addition to providing workspace and technical support, the residency offers opportunities to engage with local audiences through work‑in‑progress presentations and post‑show discussions, as well as to share knowledge through workshops and other educational activities. The call is open to projects at various stages of development, from early artistic research and initial concepts to advanced stages of production. It is open to artists and collectives from Europe working in the field of contemporary circus, with a particular encouragement for projects that include workshops, masterclasses, or other forms of knowledge‑sharing for amateur and professional practitioners in the field of contemporary circus. The residency provides workspace, technical support, organization of a work‑in‑progress presentation, audience discussion, media visibility and promotion, documentation of the creative process, and a financial support of up to €1,000 to cover travel, accommodation, and production costs.
