Residency Open Call for Artists Based in Brazil

Gasworks, a leading contemporary art space in London, is inviting early‑career contemporary visual artists based in Brazil who have previously participated in the PIPA Prize to apply for an eleven‑week, fully funded residency (7 April – 22 June 2027). The residency is part of Gasworks’ annual programme that hosts up to twenty artists worldwide, offering a self‑led, process‑based environment for research, production and networking. Selected artists receive a fully accessible private studio, single‑room accommodation in the Residency House, economy return flights and visa support, a weekly stipend of £175, a materials budget of up to £800, a prepaid travel card for central London, and administrative, pastoral and curatorial support throughout. The programme also includes an open studio event, networking opportunities, and a dedicated residency page on the Gasworks website. Applicants must be early‑career contemporary visual artists based in Brazil, have previously participated in the PIPA Prize, and possess moderate English proficiency. The residency is limited to individuals only; duos, collectives, partners or children are not accommodated. Applications are submitted digitally via the online form on the Gasworks website and must include a cover sheet, two 250‑word statements, up to 15 images or video clips, and a CV.
