Residency open call for Lebanese artists based in Lebanon

Gasworks is calling for an early‑career contemporary visual artist who is based in Lebanon to participate in an eleven‑week, fully funded residency in London. The residency will run from 7 April to 22 June 2027 and will provide a private studio, as well as administrative, pastoral and curatorial support throughout the programme. Residents are expected to be self‑motivated and to lead the research and production of their own work, while engaging with the city and building professional networks. The programme is part of Gasworks’ broader residencies initiative, which supports professional development, cultural exchange and artistic experimentation for artists from around the world.

Access to a private studio, single-room accommodation in a shared house, return economy airfare with luggage and local taxi transfers, materials budget of up to £800, prepaid travel card for use within central London, curatorial guidance, studio visits with professionals, public Open Studio event on 13 December.

Applicants must be Lebanese nationals currently living in Lebanon, with at least a moderate command of spoken English.
