Residency open call for artists based in Central America 2027

Gasworks’ International Residency Programme invites early‑career contemporary visual artists from Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama to participate in an eleven‑week, fully funded residency in London from 7 April to 22 June 2027. The residency is self‑led, process‑based, and offers 24‑hour access to a private studio, single‑room accommodation in the Residency House, economy return flights, visa support, a weekly stipend of £175, a materials budget of up to £800, a prepaid travel card for central London, and extensive administrative, pastoral, and curatorial support. Applicants must have a moderate level of spoken English and be comfortable discussing their work in English. The selection panel includes Gasworks staff and external advisors familiar with Central American contemporary art scenes. The application deadline is 6 October 2026, 1pm (UK time).
