关于此机会

The 25th Dobell Drawing Prize is a biennial, acquisitive art prize dedicated to contemporary drawing practice. Presented by the National Art School in partnership with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation, the prize celebrates technical skill, innovation and expanded practice in drawing. Artists may submit up to two artworks per entry, with an entry fee of $50 (including GST) per artwork. The competition is open only to Australian citizens, permanent residents, or holders of an Australian issued refugee or humanitarian visa residing in Australia, and entrants must be 18 years or older. Works must be completed within 12 months of the closing date and cannot exceed six square metres in size. The judging panel, comprising Joan Ross, Paula Latos‑Valier, and Dr Lorraine Kypiotis, will review entries individually before convening in November 2026 to select approximately 50 finalists. The winner will be announced at the exhibition opening on 8 April 2027, with the winning work automatically acquired by the National Art School as part of its collection. Finalists will exhibit their works from 9 April to 3 July 2027 at the NAS Gallery. The prize offers a $30,000 acquisitive award, and finalists are responsible for transport and insurance of their works.
