关于此机会

(Studio)LAB is a 6‑month residency program run by Platform Arts in Geelong, Australia, designed to support artists across all stages and disciplines. The residency runs from 1 May to 30 October 2026 and provides a stipend of $2,000 AUD, in‑kind studio space until 18 December, and a range of professional development opportunities. Participants receive six facilitated artist‑development sessions, fortnightly studio critiques and lunches, a mid‑residency intensive, and First Nations‑led cultural education sessions. Technical, producing and marketing support is also available.
The program is open to all artists, with no specific eligibility restrictions. It encourages experimentation, research and dialogue, and invites collaboration with visiting practitioners. The residency prioritises experimentation, research and open dialogue, and participants are encouraged to push their practice, explore new methodologies and contribute to a broader conversation within the regional and contemporary arts community.
Platform Arts, based on Wadawurrung Country in Djilang/Geelong, is a contemporary arts organisation that curates exhibitions, performances, publications and events. The residency is supported by the City of Greater Geelong, Creative Australia, Creative Victoria and the Anthony Costa Foundation. The program is not a paid employment role but a funded residency that offers financial support, studio space and professional development to artists.
Applications are accepted through the Platform Arts website; the deadline for submission is 30 October 2026. The residency is not a paid position but a funded residency with a stipend and in‑kind support. The program is not recurring beyond the 2026 edition, but future editions may be announced by Platform Arts.
