The Pottery Workshop, Jingdezhen Jingdezhen/景德镇市

The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen runs an International Artist Residency focused on ceramic production using local materials and processes. Residents receive a private or shared bedroom, full board, studio space (1600 RMB/week for studio, 1200 RMB/week for room & board), 24‑hour studio access, air‑conditioned facilities, free Wi‑Fi, shared translators and coordinators, and daily meals (except Sundays). The program is self‑directed; artists work with local craftsmen, kilns and glaze kitchens. Length of stay is flexible, ranging from 2 weeks to 6 months, and the workshop closes for a month around Chinese New Year. Applicants must download and submit the application form after reviewing the guidelines. No application fee is required; artists cover their own travel, shipping and material costs beyond the residency fee.
