Individual residency

The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, runs an international artist residency focused on ceramic practice using local materials and processes. Artists work in a semi‑private studio with 24/7 access, receive on‑site accommodation (single or double rooms), daily meals, and support from a bilingual team that provides translation, project planning, and technical assistance. The program includes tours of local kilns, workshops with master artisans, and access to a wide range of tools and glazes. All levels are welcome, but applicants should be open‑minded toward ceramic processes and cultural differences. Applications are submitted via an online form; the residency is open year‑round except for a month around Chinese New Year, with flexible stay lengths (minimum two weeks).
