McColl Center for Art + Innovation Artist-in-Residence Program

The McColl Center for Art + Innovation in Charlotte, North Carolina runs an internationally recognized Artist‑in‑Residence program. Each cycle offers two residency lengths – a 3‑month term and an 11‑month term – and provides selected artists with a stipend, a private live/work studio, 24‑hour access to fabrication labs (woodshop, media lab, 3D lab, etc.), and exhibition opportunities. Residents are expected to engage with the community through public programming. Applications are accepted annually with a fixed deadline of May 1; the call is recurring each year.
