Open Call Residency Jatiwangi art Factory 2027

The Creative Industries Fund NL invites individual designers, architects and spatial practitioners established in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (including Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten) to apply for one of two two‑month residencies at Jatiwangi art Factory (JaF) in Majalengka, West Java, Indonesia. The 2027 edition continues the programme’s focus on rural development, community engagement and clay‑based craft. Applicants must have at least four years of professional practice and work independently (duos or collectives are not eligible). Each residency provides a €4,500 grant covering travel, living expenses, a compensation for time invested and material/transport costs. Accommodation is provided in a private container house on‑site, and JaF offers studio space, guidance and access to its network. The call is part of the Design Sector Internationalisation Programme and is assessed on artistic quality, project relevance and motivation. Applications are submitted through the Fund’s online platform with a project plan, CV, portfolio, recent Chamber of Commerce extract and a representative image for communication purposes.
