About This Opportunity

Odjeci is a sound art fellowship run by Zvjezdane Staze, a foundation based in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program offers four two‑week residencies each year, aligned with the seasons, for composers and sound artists whose work engages conceptually with the layered realities of the region—nature, history, language, culture, memory. Applicants must be from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Kosovo, or the Yugoslav diaspora; both emerging and established artists, as well as collectives, are welcome. During the residency artists receive a room, studio, and all available technical equipment, along with mentorship and curatorial support. An artist fee of 500 EUR is paid upon arrival. Travel, food, and materials are not covered, though a funding guide lists mobility grants that may help. Work produced during the fellowship is archived and later presented in a permanent audio walk between Mijakovići and the ruins of Bobovac, with a planned festival presentation in Vienna in 2027. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with four deadlines per year, the next opening on 1 September 2026.
