About This Opportunity

Jentel Artist Residency, located 20 miles southeast of Sheridan, Wyoming in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains, invites Wyoming‑resident visual artists, writers, and composers to apply for its Summer/Fall 2027 sessions (May 15 – December 7). Residents receive a private bedroom, a shared living area and kitchen, and a separate studio space. Each resident is provided a $300 weekly stipend to help cover living and food expenses. The application fee is $30 (non‑refundable) and a $100 reservation deposit is required after notification. Applicants must be at least 25 years old, be US citizens or US residents, and be Wyoming residents; full‑time students are not eligible, while post‑doctoral fellows may apply. Applications open on October 1 2026 and close on January 15 2027 (12:00 NOON Mountain Time). Selections are made by a panel of visual art, literary, and music professionals.
