Emmanuel College: Artist Residencies in Ceramics, Photography, Printmaking and Social Practice 2026 (USA) Residencies
Emmanuel College
About This Opportunity

The Emmanuel College Art Department offers a six‑week artist residency each summer, supporting four artists—one each in ceramics, photography, printmaking, and social practice. The residency runs from June 16 to July 28, 2027, providing a stipend of $1,500 and, for international artists, up to $1,000 reimbursement for travel and visa costs. Lodging is provided in college dormitories, and residents have access to communal studio facilities, including ceramics, wood shop, print shop, photo studio, darkroom, design lab, and drawing studios. Artists are expected to be on‑site for the full duration, cover their own material, food, shipping, and transportation costs, and donate one artwork to the college at the end of the program. A closing exhibition showcases all resident works. The program encourages community interaction with faculty, staff, and students, and may invite residents back for a presentation in the following academic year. Applications are submitted as a single PDF via email by December 18, 2026.
