About This Opportunity

The Chulitna Lodge Wilderness Retreat Creative Residency Program provides time, space, and facilities for creative professionals to make and meditate in a remote Alaskan setting. For Summer 2027 three Fellowship sessions run from May 15 to September 24, each lasting six weeks. Fellows receive all expenses covered—including gourmet meals, charter flight from Anchorage, room & board, and a travel stipend. Additional participation options include Resident Artist (weekly fee with partial expenses covered) and Honorary Resident (no application required, fee‑based stay). Facilities include a fully equipped wood‑shop, printmaking and digital photography tools, a library, recording equipment, piano, guitars, and more. The program welcomes artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and researchers of all experience levels, with no specific age, nationality, or discipline restrictions. Applications are submitted via Slideroom, and the deadline to apply is 28 November 2026 (Alaska Time).

Restrictions
All forms of creative professionals or enthusiastic hobbyists are encouraged to apply. Family/partner and/or studio assistants may join for part or all of fellowship period for a fee on a case by case basis.
