Deputy Director position

The Indigo Mentorship Residency Program, hosted by Indigo Arts Alliance in Portland, Maine, is a unique residency that pairs a national or international artist with a local artist from the African diaspora. The program is designed to foster co‑mentorship, community engagement, and professional development. Applicants must be descendants of African nations, African‑American, Afro‑Latin, Caribbean, Native American, Indigenous Peoples, Latinx, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, or Pacific Rim, have at least two years of exhibition or studio experience, be 21 years or older, and not be enrolled in a full‑time academic program. The residency offers participants access to a modern studio, support from staff, and opportunities for studio visits with cultural professionals.
