About This Opportunity
Perkins Center for the Arts seeks professional artists to join its teaching staff as independent contractors (1099). The role involves designing and delivering classes, workshops, and in‑school arts residencies for K‑12 students across New Jersey. Artists will collaborate with school teachers to integrate visual arts, music, movement, digital media, and other disciplines into the curriculum, supporting social‑emotional learning and STEAM objectives. Contracts are project‑based, with residencies ranging from 2 to 25 days per school, and artists receive compensation per engagement. The position provides professional autonomy, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work in both the Collingswood and Moorestown locations. Applicants must submit a teaching artist application form and may be contacted for project planning meetings. No application fee is required.
