Ceramic Artist in Residence
Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill
About This Opportunity
The Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill invites practicing ceramic artists to apply for its 3‑month Ceramic Artist in Residence program (January 6 – March 31 2027). Residents receive a personal workspace in a shared studio, unlimited access to a fully equipped ceramics facility (electric, gas, raku, soda and wood‑fired kilns), and a furnished apartment with kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry and internet. Housing and studio space are provided at a rate of $500 per month, and materials and firing fees are available at discounted rates; a work‑exchange option may also be arranged. Upon completion, each resident is included in a shared exhibition at the Castle Hill gallery. Applications are reviewed by the Ceramics Director and a $20 application fee is required. The deadline for submissions is 1 November 2026, and the call is open annually (recurring). Priority consideration is given to former fellows, members of FAWC, PAAM, or Castle Hill, but the residency is broadly open to practicing artists. The program is located on Edgewood Farm, a quiet, contemplative setting near the Cape Cod National Seashore in Truro, Massachusetts, USA. Travel support is not specified. This residency provides artists with dedicated time, resources, and exhibition exposure to develop new work in a supportive environment.
