Rhode Island State Council on the Arts
About This Opportunity
The Arts and Climate Grant, funded by the Executive Climate Change Coordinating Council (EC4) Advisory Board and implemented by the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA), supports Rhode Island artists across disciplines who create community‑engaged art that translates complex climate information into accessible visuals, stories, and experiences. Eligible projects include performances, exhibitions, classes, or other activities that improve public understanding of climate impacts, mitigation, and adaptation while encouraging participation in climate action. Projects must be artist‑led and organized outside a nonprofit or other formal entity’s work, and should prioritize frontline communities and two‑way engagement. Funding of up to $5,000 is available for project activity from January 1 to December 30, 2027, with applications open from October 1, 2026 and due November 2, 2026.
