Willson Center Graduate Research Award
Willson Center for the Humanities and Arts
About This Opportunity
The Willson Center Graduate Research Award offers graduate students in the humanities and arts at the University of Georgia up to $2,000 total toward research and practice‑related expenses essential to their advanced degree program. Applicants may use the funds for travel to archives, installations, performances, or other sites related to their creative or scholarly work, and for other project‑related costs. The award can be received multiple times in separate competition cycles, provided the combined total does not exceed $2,000. The award is open to any graduate student registered for an advanced degree in a humanities or arts discipline. Applications are reviewed twice a year, with deadlines on October 5 2026 (current academic year) and February 1 2027 (following academic year). Notification follows each deadline in late October or late February. The program encourages strong, detailed budgets and clear articulation of the project's significance. No application fee is required.
