Artist Opportunity Grants
Delaware Division of the Arts
About This Opportunity
The Delaware Division of the Arts (DDOA) administers the Artist Opportunity Grants, a competitive program that provides up to $1,000 (up to 80% of the documented opportunity cost) to individual artists residing in Delaware. Grants can fund materials, facility rentals, study with a master, or other short‑term professional and artistic development activities. Applications are accepted quarterly with deadlines on January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15 for projects occurring in the subsequent three‑month period. Eligibility requires Delaware residency of at least one year, age 18 or older, not being enrolled in a degree‑granting program, and not being a current DDOA Individual Artist Fellowship recipient. Applicants must provide proof of residency, an eSupplier number, work samples, a project budget, and a narrative describing the opportunity’s impact. Applications are submitted online via the SmartSimple portal (smARTDE). No application fee is required. Travel costs are not covered. Successful applicants receive notification within four weeks and must submit a final report within 30 days of project completion. The program is recurring, with quarterly cycles, and is open to all eligible Delaware artists.
