About This Opportunity

Maryland Hall, located in Annapolis, Maryland, offers the Openshaw Artist‑in‑Residence (AIR) program. The residency provides a 310B studio space for two months, during which the selected visual artist creates a body of work to be exhibited in the Openshaw Balcony Gallery at the end of the term. Residents receive a $500 material stipend to cover supplies and are encouraged to engage the community through workshops, open‑studio events, lectures, and demonstrations. The program aims to foster diverse artistic practice, provide affordable studio time, and enrich the local community with new exhibitions. Applicants must be individual artists residing in Maryland; students, commercial artists, and nonprofit arts groups are ineligible. The residency is rolling, with applications reviewed continuously. No application fee is required.
