About This Opportunity

Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is launching an Artist Open Call for a Supergraphics Commission at Marlborough Sports Garden in Southwark, London. The commission will transform key surfaces of the sports garden – basketball courts, hoardings, shipping containers and other architectural elements – with large‑scale graphics that celebrate the site’s identity, community and inclusive spirit. Applicants should have experience or interest in public art, large‑scale graphics, illustration or mural painting and be comfortable collaborating with architects, BOST staff and local community groups. The selected artist will receive a £10,000 fee and a separate £50,000 budget for fabrication and installation, and will work alongside Cullinan Studio architects and community co‑design workshops. The process includes an open call launch on 26 October 2026, a deadline of 13 November 2026, shortlisting, development, interviews and final appointment by 11 December 2026, with design development in early 2027 and final artwork delivery by 19 March 2027. Applications are free; full brief and submission requirements are available in the downloadable PDF.
