2027 ACC Visual Arts Residency
Asia Culture Center (ACC)
About This Opportunity
The National Asian Culture Center (ACC), under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will hold an information session on September 29, 2026, to introduce its newly launched 2027 ACC Visual Arts Residency. The residency is a six‑month program beginning in January 2027, designed to support visual artists (painting, photography, sculpture, installation) based in the Jeonnam–Gwangju Special Metropolitan City. Six teams will be selected to receive KRW 10 million in production funding, an individual workroom, access to the ACC’s ACT Studio and other production equipment, critical review sessions, expert programs, and a final exhibition. The open call runs from October 20 to November 26, 2026, under the theme “House: Places That Hold Memories,” inviting artists to interpret the concept of house in relation to memory, identity, and community. Selected artists will develop new works, experiment with media, and present their outcomes in a concluding exhibition, while benefiting from the ACC’s interdisciplinary creative environment.
