Material Memory Studio — Seoul Creative Stay

Material Memory Studio, located in Mullae‑dong, Seoul, invites a single visiting artist each year to experience a studio‑only residency. The program offers dedicated studio access, a personal creative host (Yujin Chung), and a customized Seoul art itinerary that includes curated exhibitions, openings, and optional art‑fair admission. Participants arrange their own lodging; the studio does not provide accommodation or living expenses. The stay lasts two or three weeks, with dates arranged on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Each artist is required to host one public event—a workshop or artist talk—providing an opportunity to engage with the local community. The residency is open to solo artists of any medium; duos and collectives are not accepted. Applications are accepted year‑round, with no fixed deadline, and the program fee is USD 1,000 for two weeks or USD 1,300 for three weeks, payable via PayPal or bank transfer.
