Rituels revitalisants

Tunis, Tunisia
Fondation Kamal Lazaar
Date Limite: July 19, 2026

À Propos de Cette Opportunité

Revitalizing Rituals is an artistic inquiry into rituals as a technology of belonging with the rest of nature, operating between inherited knowledge, contemporary realities, and artistic practice. Supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, this residency takes place across two sites: the urban margins of Bhar Lazreg (Tunis, Tunisia) at the B7L9 contemporary art centre, and the transforming wetlands of Somogy County (Hungary) at Manas Garden. Four artists will be selected in total (two per location: one locally connected and one from a migration/diaspora background). The programme includes a shared Placemaking Camp (November 2026, Hungary), a four-month residency process with minimum 4 weeks of on-site work (April-July 2027), a Storytellers Camp (March 2027, Tunisia), and a closing event (winter/early spring 2028, Hungary). Selected artists receive a €6,000 gross artist fee and production budget, covered travel and per diems for international exchanges, and on-site accommodation. The call is open to individual artists, collectives, and interdisciplinary practitioners with at least 5 years of practice who can communicate in English and legally invoice the fee. Applications are free and must be submitted by July 19, 2026.
