À Propos de Cette Opportunité

The CMC/DMARC Sonic Arts Residency 2026/27 is the second year of a partnership between the Contemporary Music Centre (CMC) Ireland and the Digital Media and Arts Research Centre (DMARC) at the University of Limerick. The residency targets composers and sound artists from Ireland and abroad, offering a 10‑working‑day placement at the university’s Electronic Music Studio (EMS). Participants gain access to state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including a Buchla 200e, a 32‑channel immersive sound lab (SpADE), a makerspace, and multiple recording studios. In addition to studio time, the programme provides a €1,000 honorarium, a travel bursary of up to €350, and an accommodation bursary of up to €1,400 (ten nights). Applicants must submit a CV, work samples, a project outline, and a technical requirements statement via an online form. Selection is based on artistic quality, career relevance, technical capacity, and balanced representation. The residency culminates in a one‑hour talk or performance for the DMARC community and requires documentation of the process. The call closes on 5 August 2026, and the programme is an annual recurring call with support for six artists each year.
