Athens, United States
Date Limite: July 24, 2026

À Propos de Cette Opportunité

The Unified Government of Athens‑Clarke County (ACCGov) is calling for professional artists (or teams) to submit qualifications to create a three‑dimensional sculpture for Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia. The project focuses on the lower pond area, allowing a single large sculpture or a series of smaller works. The goal is to enhance the park’s user experience, foster community identity, and complement the natural surroundings. Applicants must be 18 years or older, legal residents of the United States, and not currently employed by ACCGov. The selection process is blind, with a panel convening in August 2026 and finalists announced in September 2026. The selected artist(s) will receive a fee of $350, and the county will provide an all‑inclusive budget covering design, materials, insurance, equipment rental, travel, installation, and artist’s fees. Applications are submitted online via the county’s FormCenter and must include contact information, a resume, references, three JPEG images of comparable work, and a brief statement on mentoring local artists. The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 24, 2026 at 5 PM EST. The project is open to professional artists and teams, with no application fee required.
