The 16th Annual Salon Art Prize, hosted by PleinAir Salon, is an online art competition that runs from September 1 to September 30, 2026. Artists worldwide can submit original paintings or drawings in any medium, with a maximum of 25 entries per artist. The competition features 11 monthly cycles, each awarding $2,250 in cash prizes to 22 winners. All monthly winners advance to the annual competition, where the Grand Prize winners receive $15,000 each and a cover feature in either PleinAir or Fine Art Connoisseur magazine. In total, the competition offers more than $65,000 in cash prizes, along with exposure through the magazines, website, newsletters, and social media. Entry fees are $40 for the first painting and $16 for each additional painting, with a 25% Early Bird Discount for entries before September 15. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be residents of a country where the competition is legally permissible, and submit original works not previously published.
