SAFTA LGBTQIA+ 奖学金

The Sundress Academy for the Arts (SAFTA) invites LGBTQIA+ writers to apply for a week‑long residency at its Firefly Farms farmhouse in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. The fellowship provides a private bedroom, access to a communal kitchen, bathroom, office, and library, as well as Wi‑Fi and central heating. Residents are expected to contribute approximately five hours per week of farm service work, including animal care and general maintenance. The fellowship is fully funded, covering accommodation and basic living expenses; a 50% fellowship is also available. The application fee is waived for fellowship applicants. Eligibility is limited to writers who identify as LGBTQIA+; the residency is open to all genres of writing. Applications require an online form, a writing sample, and a brief project statement. The deadline for the Spring 2027 cohort is September 1, 2026. SAFTA emphasizes anti‑racist practices and offers reparations‑based support for Black and Indigenous writers. The residency runs from January 2 to May 8, 2027, with a single week of residency per applicant.
