About This Opportunity

The School of Disobedience offers a 10‑day international Writer’s Residency for writers, poets and interdisciplinary text‑based artists who work from a personal, embodied and experimental perspective. The program provides private accommodation in the Ádám Anna Studio (Stromfeld Aurél út 27, 1124 Budapest) together with shared studio space, three one‑hour dramaturgical and conceptual consultations, access to basic technical equipment (microphone, sound and lighting) for spoken‑text or lecture‑performance, and a final public reading or lecture‑performance. Participants also benefit from an international community, optional somatic writing practices, networking opportunities and basic documentation of the public sharing event. The residency is open to solo practitioners only; collaborative groups are not accepted. No application fee is required – the fee listed covers accommodation, studio access, consultations and public sharing. Applications are submitted via a Google Form linked on the page. Three residency windows are offered in 2026: July 16‑25, November 26‑December 5 and December 7‑16. Applicants are encouraged to apply before the start date of their chosen residency period.
