Wassaic Project 2027 Summer Exhibition
Wassaic Project
About This Opportunity

The Wassaic Project is inviting artists worldwide to submit proposals for its 2027 Summer Exhibition, which will run from May 1 to September 12, 2027 in historic Maxon Mills, Wassaic, New York. The call is open to all mediums—including 2D work, sculpture, video, new media, site‑specific installations, performance, text, and publications. Selected artists will have their work shown free to the public each weekend throughout the exhibition period. In addition to exhibition space, all accepted artists receive a modest honorarium. Artists proposing site‑specific installations are also eligible for an Exhibitions Fellowship that includes a no‑fee residency of 1‑4 weeks in April or May 2027, providing housing and studio access. The application fee is $25 USD (waivers available for financial hardship). Applications are submitted via the Wassaic Project’s SlideRoom portal and must include contact information, a CV or publication list (max 3 pages), a project proposal, and work samples (1‑10 pieces). The deadline for submissions is August 10, 2026. The call is part of the institution’s annual cycle, with the next edition opening each year.
