Villa Filanda Antonini: Sonic Connections Residency 2027 (Italy)
Villa Filanda Antonini
About This Opportunity

Villa Filanda Antonini, a former silk mill in Villorba, Treviso, Italy, invites up to four sound artists, performers, curators, professionals, and designers to participate in the 2027 Sonic Connections residency. The one‑month program runs from 1 to 31 March 2027 and focuses on experimental music, sound art, and performance projects that engage the site's architecture, acoustics, and surrounding landscape. Applicants must have completed their studies, be legally residing in a Creative Europe country outside Italy (or an eligible OCT/ORs country), be 18 years or older, and be available for the full residency period. The call is open to artists who can communicate in English; staff of the European Commission or Goethe‑Institut are excluded. The residency is fully funded: participants receive accommodation, a €400–€800 travel allowance (depending on distance), a €30 daily stipend, mentoring, and production costs covered on a case‑by‑case basis. A €1,000 stipend is paid for the 31‑day stay. The application deadline is 19 July 2026 23:59 CEST. Applications are submitted via a Google Form, requiring a CV, portfolio, project proposal, and reference letter. The program is part of the Culture Moves Europe initiative, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe‑Institut. Selected artists will produce site‑specific work, host open studios, and contribute to a sonic archive at Villa Filanda Antonini.
