U-jazdowski Castle – Warsaw, Poland

The U-jazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is located in a castle in the heart of Warsaw, surrounded by a park. Besides offering an artist residency program, the center also hosts exhibitions, runs a cinema, a library, and a bookshop. U-jazdowski uses its long-standing experience to implement programs responding to ever-changing relations between creators, organizations and the social environment. In the frame of these programs, the participating artists and curators can research and experiment in selected fields. Art residencies at U-jazdowski offer several-month interdisciplinary stays, combining art and research within a theme determined individually by each invited artist and curator. U-jazdowski particularly encourages artists working in the fields and at the interface of art, ecology, education and performance; those involved in urban green spaces research; those interested in soils, horticulture, as well as themes of accessibility and motherhood and practices of maintenance and care.
