Townhouse Gallery Residency

Townhouse Gallery, an independent non‑profit art space founded in 1998 in downtown Cairo, offers a 1–3 month artist residency in a converted townhouse in the Abdin neighbourhood. The program provides studio space, accommodation, and curatorial mentorship, aiming to support socially engaged practices and foster dialogue with the local community. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; artists submit a portfolio, CV, and letter of intent via email to Dina Kafafi (dina@thetownhousegallery.com). The residency is open to both Egyptian and international artists working in any medium. No application fee is required. Residents gain access to the gallery’s exhibition space, library, and educational programming.
