The Pastel Society | Annual Exhibition 2027 – Drawn To Colour

The Pastel Society, in partnership with Mall Galleries, presents its 128th Annual Exhibition titled ‘Drawn To Colour’. The exhibition celebrates colour as subject, expression and connection and is open to artists working in pastel and other contemporary dry media (including charcoal, chalk, pencil, crayon, and mixed media where dry media is primary).\n\nAny artist aged 18 or over, from anywhere in the world, may enter up to six works (maximum four may be selected). Works must be original, completed within the last two years, not previously exhibited at Mall Galleries, and must not exceed 2.4 m on the longest dimension. Acceptable media are all types of pastel and dry media; mixed‑media works are welcome if pastel or another dry medium is primary.\n\nA non‑refundable submission fee of £22 per work applies (£14.50 per work for artists aged 35 or under). The fee includes free admission to the exhibition. Selected works will be exhibited from 27 January to 6 February 2027, with prizes and awards worth over £5,000. All works must be for sale, and a minimum price of £400 applies. Artists will also receive a free Artist Resource Pack (guide to selling art on Instagram and a video masterclass).\n\nKey dates: Submissions open 17 August 2026, close 20 November 2026 (midday). Notification of selection 4 December 2026. Receiving day 16 January 2027. The exhibition opens 27 January 2027 and closes 6 February 2027. The call is annual, making it a recurring opportunity.
