About This Opportunity

The PASEO Project, a nonprofit arts organization based in Taos, New Mexico, announces its Call for Artists for the 2025 outdoor festival (Sept 12‑13). The festival seeks 20 site‑specific works—installations, projections, or performance art—that engage the historic downtown district at night. Submissions must be fully executed projects (no concept proposals) and can be individual or collaborative. Artists must be at least 21 years old and able to install and maintain works in the high‑desert environment. The call opens on August 30, 2026; selections are announced in March 2025. A $25 entry fee is required (free for Taos County residents via coupon). Selected artists receive stipends from $500 to $3,000, with larger projects funded up to $15,000, plus travel, lodging, shipping, and installation assistance. The festival provides overnight security, staff, and volunteers. Additional educational programming (PASEO STEAM DAY) offers extra stipends for artists collaborating with local schools. The PASEO is a free public festival that pays all participating artists for their work.
