The Landscape - Open Call for Exhibition

Open Gallery, a community‑interest gallery in Halifax, West Yorkshire, is calling for submissions of original 2D and 3D artworks themed ‘The Landscape’ for its Autumn 2026 exhibition. The call is open to UK‑based artists who can arrange delivery and collection of their works to the gallery. Artists may submit up to three pieces across a wide range of media—including painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, jewellery, artists’ books and other mixed media. Submissions should include a short description (max. 250 words), price or NFS, and dimensions in centimetres. The deadline for applications is 2 September 2026, with notification on 3 September and delivery of artworks between 4–12 September. Selected works will be exhibited from 23 September to 10 October 2026, with an opening event on 23 September. Participation is free to apply; selected artists pay a £40 participation fee and a 20 % commission on any sales. The gallery will provide exhibition space, a professionally printed catalogue, and promotion on its website and Instagram. The call is a one‑time, non‑recurring exhibition invitation with no rolling application period.
