Media support

The Media Support Grant, administered by the Nordic Council of Ministers office in Latvia, aims to increase the quality and attractiveness of local, regional and national media in the Baltic countries, with a special focus on inclusive content in minority languages and ethnically diverse regions. The programme is open to freelance journalists and editorial offices of media outlets registered in Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania. Successful applicants receive a grant of up to €10 000 to cover production costs, reasonable travel, accommodation and a modest honorarium for a maximum project duration of one year. The grant supports the creation of high‑quality media content related to minorities and promotes diversity in the Baltic media landscape. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
