About This Opportunity
The Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation (SLCAF) is inviting four accomplished muralists with a proven track‑record to paint live murals during the 2026 Sugar Land Arts and Music Fest, scheduled for November 7‑8, 2026. The call, posted on August 3, 2026, invites artists from local, regional, national, and international backgrounds, including emerging artists, to apply. Applicants must be able to attend in person during the festival hours and complete their murals between November 6 and November 8, 2026. Selected muralists will receive a total stipend of $800, split into $150 for materials and a final $650 payment upon completion. Additional support includes a free lanyard for festival entry, signage featuring the artist’s name and bio, electricity, and a one‑year display of the finished mural at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land. The application fee is $10.
