About This Opportunity

Stone Oven House is an artist‑run residency located in the mountain village of Rorà, Piedmont, Italy. The program welcomes practitioners across visual art, music, design, sound art, video art, literature, theatre, cinema, animation and other artistic disciplines. Applicants can stay anywhere from one week up to two months, with accommodation ranging from shared rooms at €40 per day to private rooms at €60 per day. The residency provides studio space, exhibition areas, technical equipment, and project support, while fostering a communal living environment that encourages interaction with local residents and engagement with the cultural and natural context of the region. The call is open to all artists, but projects that involve dialogue with the community, explore village life, address sustainability and conscious consumption, or incorporate high‑tech elements are given preference. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadline. The residency offers housing and project support; travel costs are not covered. The official website is stoneovenhouse.com, and further application details can be found on the residency’s own page and the transartists listing.
