Smithsonian Magazine Proposals

Smithsonian Magazine invites established freelance writers to submit unsolicited proposals for feature articles and other departments in its print edition. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing, rolling basis via an online form. Writers are asked to provide basic information about themselves and a concise pitch for their proposed story. While there is no guarantee of acceptance, selected proposals may be published in the magazine, offering significant exposure.
