About This Opportunity

Situated Creative Practices for the Pluriverse (SIT‑PLU) is a Creative Europe Cooperation project that addresses socio‑ecological challenges through cross‑disciplinary artistic interventions. The programme offers eight residencies in 2026 and 2027, each linked to a specific host institution in the Netherlands, Italy or Spain. For the 2027 edition, artists and creative practitioners may apply to work with Baltan Laboratories (Netherlands), Lungomare (Italy), Idensitat (Spain) or ZEMOS98 (Spain) on context‑specific projects ranging from river ecosystems to sacrifice zones and community‑driven energy transitions. Applications are submitted in two phases: Phase 1 (deadline 31 May 2027, 23:59 CET) requires a motivation letter, CV, portfolio (max 5 projects) and a draft proposal focused on one of the host contexts; Phase 2 (deadline 14 August 2027) asks selected candidates to develop a detailed proposal in dialogue with the host. Selected residents receive an artist fee of €13,500 (travel excluded) plus a production budget, and will undertake a one‑year residency beginning January 2027. The call is open to all artists and creative practitioners, with submissions required in English. Online Q&A sessions are scheduled in May to clarify host‑specific conditions. Full application forms, terms and conditions, and a downloadable PDF of the open call are available via the links provided.
