About This Opportunity

The Shelton Civic Center Rotating Art Gallery, located on the first floor of the Shelton Civic Center (525 West Cota St, Shelton, WA), offers exhibition space for a 12‑week period from September 1 to November 30, 2026. Professional or amateur artists residing in Washington State who work in two‑dimensional (painting, drawing, photography, etc.) or three‑dimensional media (sculpture, installation) may apply. Video works are not accepted. All 2‑D works must be mounted or framed and ready to hang; 3‑D works must fit within a display case measuring 45" W × 62" H × 16" D. Submissions are juried by the Shelton Arts Commission, with selection based on artistic excellence, relevance to Washington’s cultural diversity, and suitability for a public building. Artists are responsible for delivering and picking up their artwork during weekday hours (Mon‑Fri 9 am‑3 pm). No compensation is provided, but the gallery offers public promotion through press releases, the city’s website, and social media. Artists must provide a self‑addressed stamped envelope for return of photos and agree to allow the commission to use images of their work for promotional purposes.
