Seen + Heard – Call for Entries
The Dairy Barn Arts Center
About This Opportunity
Seen + Heard is a regional exhibition organized by The Dairy Barn Arts Center that brings together women and people with diverse experiences of femininity to share their stories through visual art and traditional craft. The call is open to artists and makers whose work explores the power and complexity of womanhood, femininity, and gendered experience in Appalachia. Each artist may submit up to three works, with a sliding‑scale submission fee of $15–$65. Selected works will be exhibited from January 23 to March 21, 2027, providing exposure to a regional audience and inclusion in the exhibition catalogue. Applications are accepted from August 3 to October 11, 2026, and all entries must be completed on or after January 1, 2024.
