About This Opportunity

The Katarzyna Kozyra Foundation and its partners invite female‑identifying visual artists aged 35 or under from Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine to apply to Secondary Archive. Secondary Archive is an online archive dedicated to the work, perspectives and voices of women artists from Central and Eastern Europe. Selected artists will join the archive, develop a written and video artist statement in collaboration with curators, and have their statements published on the Secondary Archive website. The video statements will also be presented in a group exhibition in Warsaw on 8 March 2027. As part of the Open Call, €500 grants are available for artists from Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, and for artists from the Visegrád Four and previous Balkan partner countries. Applications are submitted by email with a brief biography, motivation letter (in English and the artist’s mother tongue), up to ten works (including video), and optional supporting material. The Open Call runs from 15 September to 15 November 2026.
